Residents of Pennsylvania Town Support Public School Bible Club – Christian News Headlines

Residents of New Bethlehem Pennsylvania are fully behind Redbank Valley High School’s Bible club. Before the new school year began, students and adults gathered outside the school to pray that the Bible club would make a big impact on students this year.

Students involved in the Bible club say that it’s a completely Constitutional way to live out your faith, according to CBN News.

“To start one, it’s easy because they can’t tell you ‘no’ in a public school.  It’s completely constitutional,” said Peyton Kirkpatrick, Redbank Bible club’s student president. “The people who are afraid will say ‘no’ until you prove them the facts, and show them that it is constitutional. They can’t tell you ‘no’ as a public school student.”

“Any school is able to have Bible club,” added the Bible club’s vice president, Ethan Reichard. “And I think that it’s a good thing to be able to preach God’s Word to other students, because they may not have the ability to learn about God on their own.”

In California, it May Soon be a Criminal Offense to Call Someone by the Wrong Gender Pronoun

The California State Senate has passed a bill that would make it a criminal offense to address a transgender person by the wrong pronoun.According to hotair.com, the bill now goes on to the State Assembly.

If passed and signed by the governor, the bill could enforce criminal penalties, including jail time, against someone who refuses to address a transgender individual by their chosen gender pronoun.

The bill passed the Senate in a vote of 26-12. According to The Daily Caller, “The law is currently limited in its effects to nursing homes and intermediate-care facilities, but if passed, those who ‘willfully and repeatedly’ refuse ‘to use a transgender resident’s preferred name or pronouns’ could be slapped with a $1,000 fine and up to one year in prison, according to the California Heath [sic] and Safety code.

”Although the current scope of the bill is relegated to nursing homes and care facilities, experts believe if passed, it will soon become law in other contexts as well.Hotair commentator Jazz Shaw notes that California has been becomingly increasingly liberal in its laws–so much so that many, perhaps only part-jokingly, suggested that California’s threats to secede would not be a big loss for the country.
